100% Browser-Local Security
Zero media bytes, zero audio waveforms, and zero filenames ever touch a cloud server. All decoding, analysis, DSP filtering, and rendering execute inside your browser's Web Audio sandbox.
AutoSilenceCut was created to solve a fundamental flaw in automated audio editing: traditional tools delete all quiet space, stripping the natural breath and rhythm out of human conversation.
Hi, I'm Divy. I make short tech videos on YouTube as @techbydivy.
Filming was never the slow part. Editing was. After every recording I'd sit there scrubbing through the timeline, finding each pause, cutting it out and sliding the clips back together. A video that took a few minutes to record could eat hours of my evening.
I tried the automatic silence removers. They were quick, but they cut every gap, even the tiny breath between two sentences, and I came out sounding rushed, like a robot reading a script. Half the time I'd go back and fix their cuts by hand anyway, which kind of defeated the point.
So I built the tool I wanted. AutoSilenceCut shortens the long dead gaps but leaves a short pause behind, so you still sound like yourself. It runs entirely in your browser, so your recordings never get uploaded anywhere, and you can listen to every cut and undo it before you export.
It's free, with no sign-up and no watermark. If it saves you an evening of editing and you want to say thanks, you can buy me a coffee on Ko-fi. If not, that's fine too. Just use it.
Every audio gate, noise gate, and cloud-based silence stripper on the internet operates under the same crude assumption: if an audio frame is below a decibel threshold, delete 100% of it. The result is dialogue that sounds breathless, rushed, and robotic—clipping subtle consonant decays (like "t", "k", or "p") and destroying the natural timing between speakers.
I built AutoSilenceCut to run locally in your browser. Instead of chopping every quiet frame, it keeps a 0.32-second cushion around your words, adds 8ms crossfades at each splice, and lists every proposed cut so you can listen to it and restore it before you export.
Zero media bytes, zero audio waveforms, and zero filenames ever touch a cloud server. All decoding, analysis, DSP filtering, and rendering execute inside your browser's Web Audio sandbox.
Preserves the subtle inhale beats and acoustic decay essential to natural conversational cadence. Pacing presets allow one-click toggling between Natural, Tight, and Fast delivery.
We render spliced audio directly via OfflineAudioContext into uncompressed 16-bit PCM RIFF WAV format at native sample rates (44.1kHz / 48kHz), avoiding destructive MP3 re-encoding.
Nothing is deleted until you click Export. Every detected silence gap is mapped with exact timecodes, audition controls ("Hear Before" / "Preview Cut"), and 50-step undo/redo.
There's no paid plan. If AutoSilenceCut saved you some editing time, a coffee on Ko-fi helps me keep working on it.
